Grant of final marketing authorization with mutual recognition to the plant protection product (insecticide-pheromone) ISOMATE A/OFM

Anthesis P.C. steadily investing in innovative plant protection products friendly to the environment, recently acquired, in collaboration with Shin-Etsu Chemical Co. LTD. of Japan, based in Tokyo, the final approval for the ISOMATE A/OFM product (No. 9065/22-10-2012) for the control of Anarsia lineatella and Cydia pomonella in peaches and plums. This fact promotes the spread of the Mating Disruption method and creates new opportunities for peach growers to gain a competitive advantage in the ever-growing export destinations.

 

ADVANTAGES OF ISOMATE A/OFM

  1. It does not leave chemical residues on the fruits, because it does not come into contact with them, nor on the leaves
  2. The application of Isomate A/OFM contributes to the minimization of sprays with conventional approved insecticides, which implies the minimization of total residues and an increase in the commercial value of both core and table peaches. (advantage for the promotion of Greek exports)
  3. No safety period is required between last operation and harvest, thus protecting production up to harvest day
  4. The product is user, consumer and environmently friendly
  5. Use of pheromone products is compatible with beneficial organisms and does not create resistance to target enemies.
  6. It is an ideal tool in integrated management programs and contributes to the rational use of plant protection products as provided in EU Directive 128/2009, on Sustainable Agriculture.
  7. It is economic and due to its duration of action (at least 150 days), one application before the start of the flight of the generation which overwinters, sufficiently covers the entire growing season.
