Information event for walnut producers

On May 22, 2024, Anthesis IKE was pleased to participate in the information event for walnut producers, which took place at the facilities of our partners. The main theme of the event was the 1st call for the agri-environmental climate action 70-1.3.2 “Implementation of the method of preventing the coupling of entomological enemies of crops (COMPHOS)”, within the framework of the Strategic Plan of the Common Agricultural Policy of Greece 2023-2027.

For the first time, walnut cultivation is included in the eligible crops of the CONPHOS action, offering new opportunities to producers. This method is an innovative tool that replaces the use of chemical insecticides, enhancing biodiversity and protecting natural resources.

During the event, we presented the application process of the method, as well as its benefits for production and the environment, contributing to the sustainable development of agriculture. Through our collaboration, we continue to provide comprehensive know-how to producers to optimize their cultivation practices.
