Tec-Bom

TEC-BOM is a natural insecticide containing 41.62% (w/v) potassium salts of fatty acids derived from selected vegetable oils. It offers an ideal solution for the control of whiteflies (Bemisia tabaci, Trialeurodes vaporariorum) with high efficacy and zero residues.

Mode of Action

TEC-BOM acts by direct contact, disrupting the cell membranes of the insect exoskeleton, causing asphyxiation and dehydration. At the same time, it removes honeydew secretions from the leaf surface, thereby limiting the spread of fungi such as sooty mold, while enhancing plant photosynthesis.

Efficacy

TEC-BOM provides powerful contact control of whiteflies. It works by breaking down the chitin or protective layer of the insect exoskeleton, disrupting cellular membranes, and leading to death by asphyxiation and dehydration. Its application also removes sticky secretions (honeydew), reducing fungal growth and keeping foliage clean. It offers an effective resistance management tool, leaves no residues, and has a PHI of zero days. In addition, due to its very low surface tension, TEC-BOM acts synergistically, boosting the performance of other active ingredients.

TRIAL DATA

TEC-BOM has demonstrated excellent efficacy against whiteflies (Bemisia tabaci, Trialeurodes vaporariorum), with control levels ranging from 80% to 95%. The following graphs present the results of field trials conducted on tomato crops by Promovert Crop Service S.L.

Applications

Foliar sprays in greenhouse tomato crops for the control of whiteflies (Bemisia tabaci and Trialeurodes vaporariorum), applied at the first appearance of the pest. Ensure complete coverage of the foliage.
Dosage: 7 cc/L of water (700 ml per 100 L of water).
Maximum number of applications per crop cycle: 3
Spray interval: 5–7 days
