Biological plant protection products are divided into two main categories, based on the origin of their active substance. The first category consists of Micro-organisms, able to control arthropod pests or other plant-pathogens. The second category of products contains active ingridients derived from natural sources (e.g plant extracts, microbial metabolites or soil minerals) with biocide action.
